Oscars 2011 - Die 63 Auslandskandidaten auf einen Blick!
Die Academy of Motion Picture Arts und die Sciences Foreign Language Executive Committee haben die eingereichten Filme für den besten nicht-englichsprachigen Film untersucht, einige eliminiert, wie zum Beispiel Joshua Marstons The Forgiveness of Blood aus Albanien, und veröffentlichen nun die 63. Kandidaten, die eine Oscar-Nominierung erhalten können. Für Österreich geht Karl Markovics' Atmen ins Rennen. Der Film konnte bereits in den heimischen Kinos einen großen Erfolg feiern.

Am 24. Januar 2012 wird die Entscheidung der Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences feststehen und die fünf Nominierungen, der vielen vorgeschlagenen ausländischen Filme, bekannt gegeben. Die 84. Oscar-Verleihung wird am 26. Februar 2012 in Los Angeles stattfinden.
